The Hollywood Reporter has posted some quick bits on a review of CloverField the new monster movie by JJ Abrams that has alot of folks buzzing and frankly alot of fans sick and tired of all the studio generated HYPE. We have not seen much and the trailers have revealed little so its still an open story as to whether this film will rock or swim like a stone at the box office.
The review posted on The Hollywood Reporter reveals nothing new at all. Their insider sat in on a private screening of an unfinished film according to JMH314 who posted on our boards today about it. Apparently the insider is terrified that nobody know who he is or Paramount and JJ Abrams will come down on him like a ton of bricks. I would buy into that if he actually revealed anything new. Little note I was unable to actually find the review myself, so I cant include a link for you guys sorry. Perhaps if you have it you can leave a comment with it
He basically says its shot in the style of Blair Witch, that their are multiple monsters and that the film is awesome. The first two items we have known on this site for a long time. As for whether its good or not, well we will all find out as soon as it hits the box office. Frankly the review isnt a review at all and makes me wonder.. more studio hype?
JJ Abrams Cloverfield is about an alien that wipes out all of New York City…The footage is taken the day before everyone dies. A bunch of kids come to Coney Island with a video camera. The movie is a flashback to that day. If you have not yet watched the trailer then you need to.
